Tracks on the album

KANO Brown Eyes : Having risen from East London’s reigning N.A.S.T.Y. Crew, and winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ category at the Urban Music Awards in 2004, Kano signed to 679 Records. Having built his career around his hyper-speed chat, this cut finds Kano in a suitably more mellow mood.

L’IL KEKE Coast 2 Coast : Hailing from Houston’s Screwed Up Click rap collective, L’il Keke has been a key purveyor of real Southern Rap, and as on this track, ably demonstrates his flow which he bolts onto some naughty natured party-vibe beats.
SKY HY Yeek ! : Georgia’s SKY HY harks back to a Slick Rick meets Sir Mix A Lot flava on this booty-bouncer.

MARZ Whut It Do : Marz representing Chicago’s Independent Rap scene and he’s become a familiar name due to his many TV show, film and video game placements.

THE PERCEPTIONISTS Party Hard : Labelled as a Hip-Hop ‘supergroup’ and residing at Definitive Jux Records camp, Akrobatik, DJ Fakts One, and Mr. Lif deliver exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a beat that DJ Premier would have been proud to have created.

OHMEGA WATTS That Sound : Oozing B-boy swagger Ohmega’s block party crasher gets yours arms waving in the air, like you really do care!

GUM DROP (Keep On) Burning : A jaw dropping slice of deep funk and raw soul wrapped up in vintage style nu-science. The spirit of Bootsy Collins is infused all over this cut.

ESTELLE Dance With Me : A popular slow’n’smoochee jam from the MOBO Award (Best UK Newcomer) winner.

SHERISSA STEWART feat SILVERSTONE Cupid : Sherrisa is the sassy, soulful star of South London’s GDM records stable. This is taken from her vastly underrated debut album.

ROYAL PRIESTHOOD Theroyalpriesthood : Unusual - in as much as this married couple of UK underground Hip Hop defy the cliches and stereotypes, delivering suitably street-level vibrations.

CMONE Catch Me If U Can : Best known for her work on albums by Estelle (‘18th Day’) and The Streets (‘Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living’), Nottingham’s hardest working emcee, CMone - winner of UK HIP HOP AWRDS Best Female Emcee 2005 - hits the spot with her own poetry-in-motion party tune.

CAGE Perfect World : Cage (AKA Chris Palko) made his mark in the heydays of the NYC underground rap scene and signed with Definitive Jux Records, specialists in that raw late-80s Hip Hop flava. Cage spits in ‘Life & Lyrics’ with a trademark rhyme over beats that are reminiscent of his key inspirers, 3rd Bass.

STYLY CEE No Pills No Frills : Sounding like a classic 80s jam, Styly Cee flexs his producer muscles and demonstrates exactly why his beats are staples of releases on premier UK rap label Son Records.

SKY HY Broke Ballers Anthem : SKY HY’s second contribution on this album keeps things in an electro-80s ‘gold-digger’ mode.

MARZ Video Tape It : Marz goes all CNN on us. Maybe not.

DEEP Treading Water : Like the name says, a ‘deep’ track narrating the pitfalls of pushing boundaries whilst surviving in a limiting environment.

HKB FINN Epiphany : Huckleberry Finn’s contribution is a classy soundscape consummately befitting an the elder statesman of UK Rap. HKB’s confident chill factory delivery rides harmoniously over harps and strings in an organic manner that belies preconceptions of UK Rap music.

SWAY A Month In The Summer : The undisputable heavyweight champion of UK Hip Hop, Sway continues making friends and winning hearts with his irresistible charisma and delivery. A 1Xtra playlisted cut , ‘A Month In The Summer’ is the film’s closer. A very high note to conclude proceedings.
