SEATTLE, WA – SxSeattle, Saturday March 15th, 12–5:30PM @ Palm Door for SXSW 2008, Austin, TX.
Notable businesses from the Seattle music community have come together to produce an official 2008 party for this year’s SXSW Music Conference happening in Austin, TX March 12-16th.
“Our motivation for this party is to showcase the artists, labels and music businesses of Seattle and how we impact the industry as a whole” says Amy Bauer, General Manager of local record label, Loveless Records.
Indeed, Seattle has been known for many years as a music city. With strong independent record retail, labels, venues, promoters and more, Seattle’s music industry is thriving to the tune of over 1.3 billion dollars annually .
Party organizers have brought together great up and coming artists, local Northwest food, gift bags and raffle items from Seattle businesses. Raffle items include studio time at Bear Creek, a pair of 3 day passes to Bumbershoot, tickets from The Paramount Theatre, dinner at The Space Needle and much more!
